the party's over.

summer holidays are officially over. this past week everyone was back in class including me! i am excited to be back learning like a bookworm, and i graduate from my pre-undergraduate degree this year, but i cant help but feel stressed and overwhelmed by all the work that will be upcoming. every semester the architecture program i am in gets a design project that lasts the course of the semester. we break up into groups of usually 3-4 and get handed a list of requirements. for the past 2 years we've done two houses, a culinary teaching school, and a mixed-use building (retail, office, and residential space). the most we've had to endeavour is a 3 storey project.. but this year the project is 9 STOREYS!!! its neat because all our projects we do are real future projects that actually get constructed! anyways, about the project: its the future home of the health sciences building for george brown! im excited and completely nauseated at the same time about the work that is ahead of me.. this is what one of our studio teachers had to say about the project after he told us about it: "this is a project that an architecture firm would assign 30 people to.. so GOOOD LUCK!" thaaanks for the encouragement :)

anyways, enough about me rambling about my schooling.. this weekend was pretty low key for me. on friday i spent all day in classes and then went out for some drinks with alex and some friends! i had an orange-grapefruit moijito that was DELICIOUS! and then saturday was sort of a bluur. im not sure where the day went, but i went to yoga in the morning, then dropped off my dry cleaning, and then picked up some lemons for what i was making for dinner, and then... POOOF the day was over. today, is my lazy day. i caught up on my readings for school, re-wrote a page of my notes that i couldn't bare to have in my binder, got showered, and made a panini for lunch. later on, i have to swing by walmart to pick up a needle and some thread. i washed my cardigan through an aggressive cycle, and two buttons fell off.

well, i need to tidy my room a bit and then figure out what is for dinner!
there is a tree in the park across the street that is starting to turn colour.. which means summer is nearly ovvver. hope the trees are bright green where you are :)
