80's heartbreak.

i am so sleepy today. for the past couple nights ive had such a hard time getting to sleep! last night i was up until 5:13am when the sun was about to rise, and the night before that it was 3:58am! im not sure what it is, but i know that i need to get a good nights sleep tonight. i just finished catching up on my emails, bills, and other such things. now, i am just debating on what to conjure up for dinner.. i was originally planning to make something from my new cookbook, but im just not feeling it up to it. maybe just a quick salad with some soy sesame tofu i have in the fridge. bah! im so tired, but i don't want to nap for fear that i will spoil my sleep for tonight.

this past week i spent most of my time down at alex's place. it was so nice out during the week that i took advantage of the fact that he lives at the harbor front and went for a run everyday! its a nice combination of hot weather, with the breeze of the water :)

tonight, i think i will be a bookworm and finish the rest of the time traveler's wife! i haven't let myself see the movie until i finish, so hopefully i will be able to see it sometime this week!!!

anyways, im going to watch some gilmore girls! its taking me forever to finish the seventh season because ive been watching it online and im too broke to buy it at the moment. every time i get to one of my favorite episodes, the thing pops up and says "you've watch 72 minutes of MEGAVIDEO! please wait 54 minutes to watch more!" argh...

a hard day's night.

whew! i have finally made it through another exam period, and i am still standing. these measly 3 classes weren't much compared to my regular school schedule, but for some reason i was so nervous for them!
anyways, i have about 3 weeks until the fall semester starts, and then its back to the books (sort of).. i still have to finish up one of my online courses and book my exam.

for the past few days ive been hitting the gym lots, its been too hot to go for runs outside. with the temperature of 30 degrees, plus the humidity factor making it 40, i almost died when i went for one the other day. anyways, for the past few days alex and i have been finishing up his place with making last minute purchases. im really happy that its finally coming together. its been a bit of a struggle in this heat wave because the air conditioning hasnt been working, but its ALLLLMOST done.

tomorrow, im going to get a new front entrance mat for the condo, and a bathroom organizer of some sort. the bottom shelf of my vanity is out-of-control! anyone have any ideas? im sort of lost on what i should get to try and get it under control. (hair ties, bobby-pins, clips, blow dryer, curling irons, flat irons, hair products, medical items... etc. BAH!) after that, i want to try and catch a hot-yoga class (its a great work-out. you come out dripping of sweat, but its awesome.) and then i have dinner plans with my cousins! ive been able to see them quite a bit this summer, and im loving every minute of it!

anyways, im going to make some tea, and curl up with my new read; the time traveler's wife!

its another gorgeous day here. its 26 degrees, so not as warm as i would like it, but still great! right now, i am making oreo truffles for our new neighbors that moved in last week. my cousin made them a little while ago and they were DELICIOUS! sooo anyway, they are currently refrigerating for 60-80 minutes. on a different note: i cant believe its already august.. this summer has just flown by. oh! and my sister just recently got married at the end of july. i will post pictures at some eventual point, but i just cant be bothered with it right now. anyways, it was a gorgeous outdoor ceremony in king city. we totally lucked out because the forecast called for a thunderstorm.. it rained all morning and then stopped just in time for the ceremony, cocktails, and photo-sessions, and then the instant we left, it down-poured! it was a gorgeous day, and they are now on their honeymoon. (which means that ive had the house to myself for a week. until sunday..)

moving on.. my summer school is alllllmost OVER! i have my finals on the 13th of august, and then i am FREE FREE FREE! and alex and i were thinking of taking a trip up to the niagara vineyards for a little road trip before school starts. we originally planned to save up enough money to vacation to hawaii (my favorite place on earth.. ive been there at least 5 times), but its just too darn expensive! oh well, maybe next year.
anyways, back to the truffles!
