get whatcha want.

i have been an unfaithful blogger for the past month and a half. i have these moments where i am eager to blog, and then poof* i find that i am flailing to finish school work. oh to be a procrastinator... but i always get things done so thats what counts! so i will catch you up on the happenings on my life for the past little while. lets see.. the last time i posted, it was right before valentines day.

for valentines day, alex and i had a low key day at home spending time with each other and then in the evening we went to dinner at canoe! we've been wanting to go there ever since we moved to toronto, but we haven't had the opportunity due to money, etc. then the rest of february was pretty normal. school school and more school.

march: the start of the month was extremely busy for me! i had a week long internship with IWB Architects working on a project with the Toronto Community Housing Corporation. working with a team of architects, designers, etc. we had to create and propose a design for the flemingdon park area in toronto. it is a lower income community, so there were a lot of challenges we had to work around. the hours were gruelling!!! and it scared me a little bit because i hope my hours aren't like that when i actually go out in to the working world of architecture. most days were 8am-10:30pm, and with no breaks really.. except for eating while working. but in the end, we came up for a really functional, interesting design, and i had a wonderful time! i worked with them last year on a project for habitat for humanity as well, so it would be nice to possibly get a job there once i am done school!!! anyways, for the remainder of march, i have just been focusing on school and more school. this past weekend, i had an interview with ryerson university. it consisted of a portfolio review and a writing and sketching assessment. i hope everything went well... i feel a lot better about my portfolio this year! i scrapped my old one and started fresh this year, which took longer than i expected... and when i say longer, i mean i logged around 98 hours.

tonight, i would like to go for a run if the rain lets up, but it doesn't look promising...

anyways, i think you're all caught up on my life's events!

hiatus.

i just noticed how long its been since my last post, and i promise i will post again as soon as i complete my paper, 3DS max assignment, and my flu doesn't decide to keep "whooping" my butt.
