its friday night: im curled up on the couch with a blanket, a cup of chinese tea, alex's laptop, and my new read... Tuesdays with Morrie: An Old Man, a Young Man, and Life's Greatest Lesson. i just got back from a wonderful night with my aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces. i love spending time with them! my life with my parents isnt the "picture-perfect" relationship that i would like to have had with them, so its awesome to have a feeling of family in my life.. its everything i could ever want.
anyways, tonight a bunch of us cousins decided we would cook diner for the "adults". and mind you, all the dishes we cooked, none of us had previously made before. BUT it turned out great!!! we made a vietnamese feast! 7 items altogether, none of which i know how to say or spell in english.. so i wont try. 7 dishes seems like we were doing some SERIOUS EATING, but there was 15 of us, so it turned out just right.
on other things, tomorrow i am meeting up with them for some late night bubble tea, and during the day i am running errands and hanging out with alex. sunday a bunch of us are going to the CNE! which is like a fair, but times a million! its almost like an amusement park, and super fun!
i have my long weekend jam packed with fun things as one big hoopla before school starts up again.
hope you all have a terrific labour day weekend!
xx
