hello wednesday. ive been back in toronto for just a few days, and i have been doing a whirlwind of things. the job hunt is still on.. yesterday, i applied to over 10 places, so hopefully someone will PICK ME! when i first started applying for jobs, i was only applying to places i really wanted to work; but now, i think i will almost take anything.

its already quarter after noon, and i havent been very productive this morning. well, i did go to the gym.. but since then i have been rutting around the condo for things to do.

today: i plan on getting my butt in gear sometime soon to shower, and getting outside. its gorgeous outside today! sunshine, partly cloudy, and 20 degrees. like i was saying, i am going to another mall today to hand out more resumes, get some groceries for dinner, maybe make a trip to rogers to rent a movie, and then the rest of the day is up for grabs.

alright, i need to shower.

today has been a lazy day for me. ive just been rutting around the house looking through some of my old things. i found a bunch of cards that i thought i had lost that alex has given to me over the years. just reading them made me fall in love with him all over again. i cant believe we have been together for over 3 years! (it will be 4 this september) <3
other than the cards, i found my figure skating things. my dresses, medals, certificates, and skates. i cant believe it used to such a huge part of my life. i miss it! i have always thought about getting back into it, but i think maybe its just the thought i like, and not actually training for competitions and whatnot.
anyways, like i was saying, i also found a bunch of old photos of the family i want to put into albums for my parents before i leave for toronto again. we have a bunch of albums of the family when my sister and i were younger, but none of recent memory.

that should keep me busy for the next few days until i leave for toronto again.

i am excited to get back and start the summer. i am looking forward to what the summer might bring. maybe a new leaf will turn?
i need to:
-get a job (money is a necessity)
-plan my sisters bridal shower
-look into the new yoga place that just opened by my house.
-figure out whats going on with my university applications.

im in cranbrook now! ive been here for about a week, and i have been enjoying my time off school. its been really low key here. ive spent most of my time just hanging out at home, catching up on the laundry i brought back with me, and spending time with my family. although i have to admit, i am getting a bit bored being home. the friends that i am close to arent here anymore, so coming back is a bit uneventful. of course the main reason i came back was to visit with my family.

other than that, the weather has been disgusting here. i couldnt even believe my eyes when i woke up on thursday, and saw a blanket of white on everything. currently, the weather in toronto is (+27) degrees with sunshine beaming everywhere. and well, the weather here is the exact opposite.

for the rest of the day:
- more laundry
- running an errand at walmart
- annnd i might stop by the superstore to take a look at some clothes!

anyways, i will write more when i am not dieing of boredem.

these ties that bind.

so today is my second day of being free of any school work, exams, or assignments, and i am already bored. i have been job hunting now for about a month, and there either is a job that i am not interested in that is hiring, or a job i am interested in that is not hiring. its frustrating..

anyways, today i am still getting used to the fact that i dont have any school work to think about. i was sitting watching a movie with alex yesterday, and i kept thinking on what assignments i had due next. (well low and behold, i dont have any!) but other than that, i have to pack, do some spring cleaning, and go for a run sometime today. and then tonight, alex and i are cooking dinner together!

tomorrow my flight leaves at 2pm, and i will be in cranbrook by 6pm with the time change. i have a ton of appointments in the 11 days that i am there. i havent found a dentist, doctor, or optometrist in toronto, so i have to get all that stuff done during my trip.

but i best get a start to the day. its sunny here again! not as warm as yesterday (+21) but still warm.
i love the spring time!

i just got back from my quantity surveying exam, aaaand i dont think it went as well as planned.. i tried to prepare myself as much as i could for it, but i just have a feeling. oh well, hopefully my good marks from my midterm and assignments will make up for my final exam.

right now i am in the process of making myself a late lunch. i am trying to make a noodle salad that my dad has made for me before. i love it when he makes it, so i hope i can make it just as tasty as he does!

for the rest of the day, i am studying for my other exams, doing laundry laundry laundry, and possibly going for a run. its somewhat nice-ish, so i should probably take advantage of it.

but my noodles are waiting and i am starving!!!

since the last time ive posted, life has been busy as usual. school is almost over for me! i have 4 days left of exams, and then i will be off to cranbrook for about 2 weeks. i havent been back home in so long, so i am really excited to just get away fom the city. i love living here, but sometimes the "rush-rush" atmosphere gets to me. i am looking forward to seeing my newly renovated house. i left in the summer, when they had just finished the flooring, but i havent seen the rest of it.

today i woke up early, and got my studying for the day out of the way. i have my quantity surveying exam on monday at 8am, so i reviewed the assignments i have done to prepare for the algrebra portion of the exam. now, i am just getting ready to head out with alex to do some browsing on bloor. its such a beautiful day outside! one of the nicer days we have had in a while (it snowed on monday).. ick. anyways, him and i havent gone shopping or purchased anything for ourselves in so long, so we are going to look around for something that catches our eye. its hard living in the city, because things are so expensive, so i always find myself worrying about money, and whether i have enough money to buy anything. other than that, him and i have a dinner date. i think we are going to sushi tonight. its my fav! (yummmers)

for the rest of the week, i plan on studying for exams and finishing up the rest of the assignments i have due.
monday: quantity surveying
tuesday: i get my mark back from my design project (im super nervous)
wednesday: my electrical installations assignment is due, and i have my mechanical
installations exam.
thursday: law exam, and steel-framing algebra exam.
friday: my drafting assignment is due.
phew.. its going to be a busy week, but i am so excited to be finished.

today was a productive day for me. i was up at 5am to go for a morning run, and then back home to shower and leave for school by 630. i had class from 8-10, and then i ran errands all afternoon.

my things to do: get groceries, drop off some clothes for goodwill, bed bath and beyond for a few houseware items, the post office, and an appointment at the chinese herbal doctors office.

i think i have some sort of back problem. ever since the christmas holidays, my back has been in severe pain. i went for a training session outside and i fell when i was running, and its been hurting since then. i hope its nothing too serious.
other than that, this week is pretty low key. i had a quantity surveying assignment due this morning, and then an assignment for my elective, and a drafting exam on friday.

oh, and i am reading a new book. its called "five people you meet in heaven", and so far so good!

alright, sick again.. i've gone to the doctor and low and behold, its the flu.
march has been such a busy month for me. as of yesterday, i just finished my second round of midterms. as i thought i had a great exam schedule, it almost killed me. yiikes, stress is over taking me. other than exams this month, i have been working on my portfolio. my interview was last saturday, and all went well i think. the assessment they had us take was a bit difficult, but i guess i will find out at the end of may-ish.

today, i decided to sleep in and not go into school early. usually i try and go a couple hours before i have class to catch up on research and reading, but i was up all night coughing and having sinus issues. so it was sleepy-time for me.

tonight, i am heading down to alex's place for some cuddling, greys anatomy, and possibly a dessert waffle. yuuummmmmm!

i hope the second half of march starts looking up. i only have 5 more weeks of class left hurraaah!!!

its march 1st and -17 degrees outside.. tell me that there is something wrong with that :(
anyways, today is the last day of my reading break. this upcoming week is going to be full of midterms and playing catch-up with some school work. then on saturday is my interview with the ryerson. i am slowly working away with my darn portfolio, but i am having a "creative block" at the moment. i cant seem to find a piece i want to display. i have been trying new tecniques with chalk and these cool watercolor markers i found, but nothing seems to be looking the way i want it to..
hopefully things will start working by saturday *fingers crossed*
